| 1) Cow:
Requirements~ You must have a barn and either some fodder or a plot of grass. Like all barn animals, cows start out as baby calfs. To feed them, you merely put an armful of fodder into the bin (shown in the picture to the right) or lead them outside with the trainers rope (see items section). To improve their mood and save money, build a pen outside with cut logs and plant grass inside. This is where they would feed. Make sure to lead them inside on rainy days! If they get sick, go to the animal ranch and buy animal medicine.Talk to them once a day and brush them with a brush (see items section) to raise their heart rating. | 3) Chicken.
Requirements~ You must have a chicken coop and some chicken feed. Chickens are by the far the easiest farm animal to care for. On rainy days, keep them in the chicken coop and put some chicken feed in their bin. If they get sick, go to the animal ranch and buy animal medicine. On sunny or cloudy days, put them in a pen (made of cut logs) and they will find food on their own. Pick them up once a day to raise their heart rating for you. It takes 7 days for an egg to become a chick (after putting it in the incubator, located in the top right corner of the chicken coop) and 7 days for a chick to become a full grown chicken. Prices~ Regular Egg: 80G Good Egg: 130 G Special Egg: 180 G Regular Mayonnaise: 100 G (This is made by putting a regular egg into the mayonnaise maker, which can be bought from Wood.) Good Mayonnaise: 150 G (This is made by putting a good egg into the mayonnaise maker, which can be bought from Wood.) |

| 4) Horse.
Requirements~ You must have a barn and either some fodder or a plot of grass. Like all barn animals, horses start out as babies (meaning that you cannot run them in races quite yet). To feed them, you merely put an armful of fodder into the bin or lead them outside with the trainers rope (see items section). Once they are grown, enter them into the local horse race in spring (see festivals page). To ride the horse, you must press the R button and, while holding it down and facing the horse, press the X button. To build up "T" stars (this shows the horse's endurance), ride your horse daily. Prices~ None. The horse is useful only to run in the annual horse race. |

| 5) Pig:
Requirements~ You must have a barn (see other section). Your pig is classified as a pet- in other words, he is allowed into your house. To feed him (this will help raise his heart rating for you), merely go up to him and "show" him the food item by pressing A. I've found that fish work well for his daily meal. You can also raise his heart rating by picking him up. Once at a certain heart level, your pig will find truffles (an expensive fungus) for you to sell. |

| 1) Mole:
You can't talk to the mole (to raise its heart rating). The only thing I've found out so far about this furry brown lump is that you can hit it with your hammer (I doubt that he likes that). If you whack him on the head 10 times, you get the mole whacking note! |

| 2) Cat:
The cat can sometimes be found right next to the animal ranch. You can raise its heart level by picking it up or feeding it (fish works). |

| 3) Brown Bird:
To raise this guy's heart rating, merely pick him up. I haven't found anything to feed him as of yet, though. |
|
| 4) Monkey:
Once again, just pick up the monkey to raise its heart level. I've found that he likes the large yellow fruits found in the mountains in the spring. He also likes oranges. |
'' |
| 5) Bunny:
...Again, just pick her up to raise her heart level. The bunny likes to eat corn and weeds. |

| 6) Grey Bird:
To raise this guy's heart rating, merely pick him up. I haven't found anything to feed him as of yet, though. |

| 7) Dolphin:
The dolphin is always in the sea around the dock. If you walk up to the edge of the dock, he will come up to you. By pressing A, you will wave to him and, meanwhile, raise his heart level. To feed him, grab a food item (fish works...) and throw it into the water from the dock when he's facing you. Once the dolphin has one heart, you can ride him to another very small and rocky island. This island is good for fishing, as it has a different variety of fish as the mainland does. |
|
| 8) Squirrel:
The squirrel doesn't usually appear in a particular area, making him usually hard to find. Again, you can raise his heart level by picking him up and you can feed him weeds (how easy!). |
|
| 9) Duck:
If you choose the house near the river, you will spot the duck nearly every day waddling around the river area right outside of your residence. You can either pick him up or feed him food (I've found that, again, fish works with him). |

| 10) Racoon:
I usually find this guy in the mountains (at night). Pick him up to raise his heart level or feed him fish. |
![]() |
| 11) Frog:
I'm guessing this guy is a secret wild animal, as he is not listed on your wild animal list (see menus). Anyway, he only appears on rainy days. |
